The NetLink Module of Spectrum Plus provides users with a convenient interface for placing orders for documents, goods, supplies, or services. Users can place orders through an enterprise network with NetLink.
Because of its simplicity and practicality, NetLink can reduce errors and increase the efficiency of any requisitioning and fulfillment system. Users can also inquire about their pending orders and even obtain stock status information. User surveys indicate that NetLink eliminates approximately 80 percent of the telephone calls previously made to customer-service centers for this type of information. NetLink also captures the accounting data necessary to allocate costs for each ordered item, including the unique costs of print-on-demand items, and can upload this information to virtually any general ledger system. Accounting codes and labels are completely customizable, enabling NetLink to interface smoothly with any company's accounting system and practices. When an order is complete, NetLink automatically routes orders for print-on-demand to the proper printing queue. Stocked items are routed to the storage facility for picking and packing. Kits are directed to the kit building area. To assist in management analysis of operations, ad hoc reporting is available at any time. |
